Build a simple mini kitchen to cook charity preserves and comply with food safety rules
Waikato
I have been making charity preserves for 14 years either to gift directly to Turangi Foodbank or to be sold as a fundraiser for Animal Care Turangi.
I have used my home kitchen to make these preserves however with food safety regulations I need to separate the production of preserves from my home kitchen.
The best way to do this is to wall off a small section of our garage to turn it into a mini kitchen. The wall is now complete and lining purchased but the big cost of power and plumbing is out of my reach.
I am unable to fund this project completely on my own so I am asking for help from like minded people to assist with the cost of installing power and plumbing.
If there are any Plumbers or Electricians out there who can assist with time rather than money I would love to hear from you.
Build a 2.5m dividing wall add power points add ceiling, gib, gibstop, paint. Plumbing for a sink Purchase a 900mm stove and connect gas. Surplus funds will be donated directly to the two charities that already receive my preserves.
Work in progress 30 September 2020
The dividing wall complete. Wiring in place ready for termination. Wall linings gib purchased and in progress. Stove, extractor, ducting, commercial sinkbench, handwash basin all purchased ready to install. Waiting on the plumber to install water and waste before the sink wall can be lined. The quote for waterproof vinyl flooring was terrifying $1,212.50 but needs must.
