Please donate to support the cost of the protection order Sarah took out as her first step to get away from her violent husband.

We are asking if you would make a donation that will help to cover the cost of the PROTECTION ORDER Sarah (not her real name) took out as her first step to get away from her violent and abusive husband.

We see a number of women in Sarah’s position who do not qualify for legal aid, and the financial implications of the costs of the protection order that was crucial for them to protect themselves and their children, means they cannot move on with their life.

We want to help Sarah and so have decided that we would go to our local community and ask if anyone is able to make a donation to help Sarah.

(If 25 PEOPLE donated $100 each - we would very quickly have the amount Sarah needs

to move on with her life)

If we get more funds than Sarah needs – we will put it aside for other women in the same situation as Sarah to use.

Use of funds

The funds received will be forwarded to cover the costs of Sarah's Protection order costs and any extra funds will be held by the Hastings and Napier Women's Refuges to cover any other women who are in Sarah's position.
