On 25 April 2015, Nepal was hit with a magnitude 7.8 earthquake. Almost 9,000 people were killed and over 22,000 were injured. Hundreds of thousands of Nepalese people were suddenly homeless as entire villages were flattened.
Those most affected by the disaster are single women and children who are still struggling to put their lives back together.
We are a close group of friends and philanthropists, some of whom have visited Nepal before the earthquake and fell in love with the people. Our team is individually self-funding all expenses to travel to Nepal in October 2017. We have spent weeks buying and collecting donations of medical equipment, warm clothing, school supplies, seeds and gardening provisions to be personally delivered to the Kopan Monastery in Kathmandu, the Lophelling School in Manang, the FireFly Children's Home and the village hospital in Sankhu.
This give -a -little campaign is to raise additional cash to further these causes. To ensure that the monies reach those with the greatest need, we are working closely with Norbu Tenzing Norgay, the son of Tenzing Norgay Sherpa, who was the first to summit Everest with Sir Edmund Hillary. Norbu works closely with Himalayan communities on a wide range of initiatives. Relief to the worst hit areas following the earthquakes is paramount as is girl trafficking, helping disabled children, education, warm clothes and clean water.
Norbu will ensure that every single dollar is used wisely towards helping his people have a future.

Use of funds
Every single dollar that you donate will go towards clean water, warm clothing and school and stationery supplies for the children of Kathmandu.

60 School bags, pencil cases with pencils, pens, erasers and stickers, crayons and colouring books, water bottles, thermal socks, large towels, washing gloves, markers, a weighing scale as well as adult clothing (warm jackets and boots), LED lighting and water devices, garden gloves and seeds, eye glasses, woollen hats and some medical supplies.
