We are fundraising for a new stove and fridge for this awesome centre in Casa De Galilea who give back to their community.

We are fundraising for a new stove and fridge for this awesome centre in Argentina that gives back to their community in so many ways. Their current fridge is hardly working and their stove is 30 years old. They feed lots of people every day. It is a big part of their programme and they really need both of these necessities to operate effectively.

Casa de Galilea is a community centre situated metres from LA Cava slum in San Isidro. Their work involves various projects that aim at education, family accompaniment, and partnerships with professionals and neighbourhood workers.

The following are some of their programs

Early-age stimulation: working with mothers and their intellectual, motor and hearing and speaking development

Personal Development for kids from 6 years and older, accompanying from holistically

Psychological assistance to families and kids that aim to eliminate obstacles to their development

Nutritional programs aimed at educating families

Skills development for woman in order to earn a living for themselves.

Apprenticeship programs for youth over the age of 16

A street Band where Youths can learn to express themselves through rhythm and music.

Computer literacy programs for teenagers

Senior Citizen support group

Social Orientation to all the families in the neighbourhood

I met Werner in Argentina who runs a church and his good friend knows the people of Casa De Galilea. I have been asked if I could fundraise for a new fridge and Stove for a non profit organisation that helps children with special needs and physical challenges. They also look after children and help them with school work. Their current stove and fridge is barely working and they feed approx 50 people a day on site

New Fridge New Stove. If we exceed the target the money will go to necessities of the centre with training and developing teachers as well as providing more learning materials to the children
