I feel so bad for 41-year-old Cesar Arqueza, after only 6 weeks in New Zealand, on a one-year work visa, here to support his family back in the Philippines and pay his children's education costs for university, Cesar ended up in Auckland Hospital for a week.

7 days Surgical ward care, 3 x operations, 1 x MRI scan, Cesar had his Gall Bladder removed and now must pay $23,000.

Cesar arrived in Auckland from the Philippines in October with a healthy medical clearance but sadly NO travel/health insurance for the unexpected. And the unexpected happened, Gall Stones!

Cesar is such a gentle soul, gravely concerned for his family’s future and children's education.

His decision to borrow $6000 to come to New Zealand, to make a difference for his family, has not only failed, but left him in more debt than he could ever imagine.
