The Clot Stroke at age 28 for Cherie, however with her positive attitude and give a little donations let’s help get her back on her feet.
Waikato
Cherie is 28 years old, mum of two young kids Callum and Abbey and wife of Dillon.
She has lived with a heart condition where her heart would suffer from SVTs yet she has managed to succeed in her chosen career choice as a chef, working many long hours and this year she landed her most amazing job title yet Executive Chef of two very popular restaurants, The Redoubt in Matamata and Morrinsville.
Cherie was going to have a simple and straight forward procedure on her heart to fix the SVTs when things took a turn for the worst. It resulted in her suffering from a stroke at the age of 28 which was a shock to all medical practitioners involved.
Cherie is lucky she has been given a lot of hope from the doctors that with some intensive rehabilitation over the next 3 weeks and some home care support in the following months she could regain her motor skills, communication and quality of life all things that have been effected by the outcome of the stroke.
A few things people should know about Cherie ... She is very caring of everyone around her and loved by many. She has always been the first to jump in and help out or cook meals for people in need or for charity where she has raised hundreds of dollars to others causes. She had dreams to write her own cook book and she took 6 months off her career, with no pay, to care for her terminally ill grandmother at home so she could live her last few months in her home as she wished.
Cherie never asks for anything in return as she does it genuinely just because she can. Cherie is selfless and always puts herself last (except in her kitchen) she is an amazing chef and deserves a second chance at completing her life goals she has work so hard to achieve.
What goes around should come back around and I am asking for donations from anyone who can even spare $5 as every dollar will add up. Unfortunately her insurances do not cover her stroke and she now faces months off work with high petrol costs also just the previous weekend they moved to a new house which was going to be supported by her new income.
Dillon has been working to support them both however Dillon is her rock and if we can raise some money to help them, we hope he can cut down his hours so he can help her when she returns home as we all know the stress money can bring at a time like this. So, let’s take some of that away so Cherie can get back to the kitchen as quickly as possible and feed us all with her kindness once again . 😊
This is my Amazing Sister, who is 28 years old and suffered from a stroke during what was ment to be a simple operation to repair a small hole in her heart. After spending most her life looking out for others she could now use some help financially to aid with her rehabilitation
petrol and living expenses with in the crucial first few months allowing her husband to care for the children at home and be her no1 support in aiding her rehab. If target is exceeded the remaining funds will be used for the family to take quality
