Friendly Water for the World enables people worldwide to transform their lives by simple water filters, storage tanks and eco-toilets.
International
Friendly Water for the World helps marginalised communities in 17 countries (so far) to build simple filters, which make the most polluted water drinkable. They and their families are freed from water-borne diseases, can pay for schooling instead of health costs, can make a living by building more filters, and spread the skill to neighbouring groups. When you donate you can help wipe out cholera in huge refugee populations in the Democratic Republic of Congo; people with albinism (white skin) in East Africa, who risk being killed for their body parts, get health and a living for themselves, and become valuable to the community; former child soldiers make a fair living and are rehabilitated; women raped by military force and abandoned by their husbands work together and can set up small businesses to keep their families; Rohingya refugees and indigenous tribal groups in India become self-supporting.
You can do all this and much more by donating.
I am having a fund-raising year in the run-up to my 80th birthday next January. On 1 September I thoroughly enjoyed walking the Dunedin half-marathon in aid of Friendly Water for the World. It was good to feel you generous donors were with me.
I have been donating for years, to assist marginalised groups with health, schooling and community empowerment through clean water. In the run-up to my 80th birthday I have walked the Dunedin half-marathon as a fundraiser.
All the funds donated will go to Friendly Water for the World, in two or three large instalments to economise on international bank transfer costs.
Thanks! You're helping so many people to make a difference for themselves and others.
