Hi everyone. An update for everyone that donated before this page closes. Cliff continues on weekly chemo and cetuximab infusions (has 3 weeks on then a week off treatment) and he had a scan a couple of weeks ago which is showing awesome results! The lesions in his liver are still shrinking and some have disappeared altogether.

Thanks to everyone’s support on this page we’ve been able to pay for treatment and carry on life as normal as possible and hopefully we’ll have many more years to make memories with the kids

WOW, that's such great news! I don't know you or your family but I wish you all the best. You can fight this crappy disease. My brother Olly is going through similar things to you and things are starting to look positive for him too. All the best!

Hi everyone. Thought I should put an update on here about cliff. Thanks to everyone who so generously donated and shared with their friends to donate Cliff is getting the drug cetuximab and it’s working! The tumours are shrinking and there is no more new ones growing so his oncologist is happy we’re on the right path to have him here for a lot longer yet :)

He has weekly treatments of cetuximab and chemo and while the side effects aren’t fun the pay off is worth it.

    Thanks again xx

Thought I should post an update - cliff has a scan at the end of October and the treatment is doing what it should and shrinking his tumours back down! We are so grateful so many people are behind us and that we have been able to use cetuximab. Cliffs been getting out there as much as possible making the most of life. The treatment is tough but it’s worth it to spend more time with our precious babies ❤️

Cliffs had 3 rounds of cetuximab and chemo so far. After a very rough first round where he was very unwell and didn’t sleep for a week due to the steroids they had to give, the following 2 rounds have gone much smoother after dropping one of the chemo drugs that required the steroids.

Cliff got to tick of one of his bucket list items a couple of weekends ago (probably no.1 on his list!) riding in a V8 supercar with Shane Van Gisbergan at pukekohe. The experience was amazing and gave him a real boost.

We are so grateful for everyone’s support and love x

  • Time to start treatment

Cliff has had his scan this week and unfortunately the liver mets have progressed in size and numbers so it’s now time to start the treatment. He’s off to Auckland on Monday to get the portacath inserted and then the chemo and cetuximab infusions start Thursday so it’s all go! The infusion last 48 hours and will be every 2 weeks.

We’re so grateful for everyone’s generous donations which mean that we have one less stress at this time to worry about how we will pay for this treatment. Now we just have to cross everything and hope that the drugs do their job and stops the tumours growing. Corey’s got lots of fishing plans with his dad he wants to do ❤️

To say thanks doesn’t seem to be enough to show how much we appreciate everyones generous donations and words of support and love. We will be forever grateful and hope that cliff can make many more memories with the kids like he did this week teaching his boy to fish ❤️ Corey’s caught the bug from his dad and wants to go out fishing every day now!

Thanks again and here’s the link to his Facebook page (if I’ve loaded it correctly!)

  • Thanks!

Cliff and I are so overwhelmed by the generous donations we have received in such a short period of time and we can’t thank everyone enough. It’s great to know he can start the medication as soon as his oncologist recommends it’s time. The Cetuximab will cost $23k (the clinic didn’t add the first quote up correctly and underestimated!!)

The rest of the funds will go towards any other treatment he needs (we are looking into Vit C treatments) and expenses going forward.

We will keep you updated on the treatment and you can follow his journey on the Facebook page - follow the link.

Thanks again for helping our little family out and all the supportive kind words too xx
