Creating a Puppy shelter.

Auckland

We are a registered non-profit charity and we are wanting to increase the amount of animals we rescue and re-home.

Our main focus at the moment is recuing and re-homing puppies, so far this year we have helped over 100 pups. This has all been done, using our home and garage.

We want to create a puppy shelter, so we can help by taking in and caring for more than one litter at a time.

Our aim is for the pups we rescue to be in good health, to be socialised with dogs, people, farm animals for the pups have confidence and to be prepared for their for ever families.

We want to set the pups up to succeed and have amazing families who will love and care for them

About us

We are a registered non-profit charity.

We rescue many different types of animals, dogs, pups, cats, pigs, sheep, goats etc.

We are now in the position to start building our rescue cattery. We have been planning this since we started the sanctuary.

Use of funds

We are raising funds to allow us to obtain Council consent, install driveway, walkways, building/s and the necessary service’s. Outdoor areas, fencing, gates etc. Extra funds will go to the upkeep, vet bills and food etc.

Getting ready for the next step.  27 February 2020

We have had a battle on our hands with Auckland Council. A 64-page proposal was 119 pages at the last count. But we believe we may have won the battle, just waiting for the official paperwork.

Now it’s time to do some serious fund raising. We are looking at approx. $9000 for getting the land ready. Approx. $50000 for the building/s. We need fencing, shelters for the other animals. The first big bill will be the council bill.

Even though we are not official open we have now fostered over 30 pups. Have taken on 2 lambs one unfortunately has had to have a leg amputated. 2 old sheep have come to retire. It’s a challenge with what we have, and we are having to say no to some animals that need help until we can have safe and secure places for them.

We don’t like asking for help, but we cannot do it by ourselves. We are caring and financially looking after nearly 30 animals at the moment. This number will increase once we are up and running.

Thank you for all your support, we really appreciate your help.
