Covid Relief - 2021 for Sambalpur
There's an immediate need of monetary help to continue providing the Lunch and Dinner services, along with the Oxygen concentrators.International
Covid situation in Sambalpur, Odisha, in India is of great concern. Being born and brought up in Sambalpur, the current COVID situation is a cause of concern for me and my fellow townmates. Majority of the livelihood of the residents comes from agriculture and daily wages, that makes it a very poor economic community. As you may be aware at 57.1%, Sambalpur positivity rate is the highest in India and the situation is worsening. With the current lockdown to curb community transmission, the condition of the people is becoming worse.
The pandemic has taken a toll in the town. People are dying due to lack of food, hospital care and unavailability of basic necessities. Above all, lack of Oxygen is causing a massacre -nationwide.
In association with Juhar Parivar and Sambal, a non-profit voluntary organisation, we are trying to feed the needy on a daily basis , provide Covid care services like arranging oxygen, cremating the bodies and rehoming Covid impacted orphan children .
Every donation of a $1, ( i.e. Rs 48) enables us to provide lunch for 2 families. With the joint contribution from my friends and family , I am able to raise $2000 , that will help us in procuring 5/6 Oxygen cylinders and Kits. In addition to the Oxygen cylinders we will ensure lunch will be provided to the Covid affected families.
During this unprecedented time, not only your donation but also your prayers will help us in fighting the pandemic. Stay safe and Godspeed.
