Creating new New Zealand dance for New Zealand audiences by New Zealand trained dancers

$7,000 goal

Started 2 years ago

Bringing homegrown contemporary ballet to audiences throughout New Zealand, creating sustainable career opportunities for kiwi artists.

Nationwide

We are a small arts collective made up of a diverse group of individuals passionate about the arts in New Zealand. We aim to collaborate with other kiwi artists to bring new dance works created here in Aotearoa, New Zealand, developing New Zealand choreographers.

We wish to bring ballet into the 21st Century and dance relevant and accessible to all communities throughout the country.

We wish to take our performances not only to the mainstage but also into schools, small communities and to those who cannot normally access dance performances.

We aim to develop kiwi artists in our artform to help these amazing creatives to have a sustainable career here at home in Aotearoa, New Zealand

Use of funds

We have been invited to perform as part of the Taranaki Arts Festival and need the funds to rehearse and prepare for this performance.

RESET  18 September 2021

A huge thank you to all those who have so kindly donated already. All money raised will go directly to our 9 gorgeous dancers to cover the rehearsals required to get the our Subtle Dances programme back up and performance ready. We can't wait to get onstage alongside the NZTrio as part of the Taranaki Arts Festival RESET programme on the 13 November.
