Tegan has gone from a full head of long wavey hair to not a single strand. In the future she will want a wig and these are very costly

Teegan Alexa was born on Easter Sunday 2007 a normal happy baby. All was well until at around 3 months old she started to develope eczema. All her life she has battled with being constantly itchy. At 3 years old she had literally dug a hole in her knee and needed daily dressings done at the doctor. Our doctor said it’s the worst case of eczema he has ever seen. Fast forward a few years and trying many many many things. Remedies pills potions even going gluten free. Spending a lot of money on all of this and she still had eczema and it wasn’t getting any better. The next step for Teegan was she had an episode of hair loss. My mother - her grandmother - spent a small fortune trying to sort her out with a naturopath. This is when we started Teegan on a gluten free diet. After over a year and nothing changing we saw a specialist (again paid for by her wonderful grandmother) he said if it’s not working why are we still doing it. So onto normal good we went. So now at 11 years old she is on a medication that has almost cleared up her eczema and life is looking up. But then she started loosing hair for the 3rd time but this time it has completely fallen out. All of it going in the space of 2 weeks. We have just been given the certainty that it is fact alopecia areata. She has the worst case of this too. Meaning she has no hair at all on her body. No eye brows or eye lashes or even hair in her legs!! Teegan is ok with it right now as she is only 11. But I worry in the future that growing up being a teenage girl that problems will arise and she will eventually want a wig to be accepted in society. Any money raised will go towards a wig or even some eye brows!!!!
Teegan is my daughter. My heart is breaking for her.
Funds will be used to purchase a wig for teenage years
