Well the bike ride is over and I'm back home once more.
Mandy's cancer is back,
Her prognosis is short,
Dont really know what else to say. She has been fighting this for along time, but this time it is back with a vengeance.
Mandy takes each day as it comes, trying to remain positive, with a happy face. Some days are harder than others, still she lives in the hope that things will inprove.
Thank you to all of you who have made donations, but we need to kepp the ball rolling.
Met a guy onboard the ferry. He asked me if I could assist the Kiwi boys during the America's cup. Said I could peddle. Told him bit busy, but i think bout it😂😂
Made it to Henderson today. Called in to Rod's work so he fix my bike. The safety flag kept wanting to fall off. He fixed it. It'll never fall off or come off ever again.
Staying with the whanau tonight, the lovely Rod and much lovelier Amanda. Love staying with them.
Tomorrow. Waiheke Island.
Left Wellsford. The weather is good. Fair bit of traffic due to what looked like Porsche Car run. Wish I was driving one of them. Got a a sore arse. Made good time but had to push the old bike the last two K due to a blow out in my front wheel. Have a cupper, catch my breath and patch it up. Prob need a new tyre. Change of plans to. Not going to Hamilton now. Just too much traffic, plus the weather is very up and down. Will post some photos in the morning. Bit Bushed.
27/06/2020 Finally got a break in the weather. So I am waving goodbye, heading for Wellsford first stage. Good luck to me. Ha ha.🤣🤗👍
