A fundraising initiative to help the Nepalese people living in the Himalayan Villages of Musey and Chaurikharka.

David and Helen Do Everest! Well, kind of. Maybe just Base Camp, but at an altitude of 5380m, we'll take it!
In May, 2018 we'll be hiking for 19 days through the Solokumbu region of Nepal to reach Everest Base Camp on the 65th Anniversary of Sir Edmund Hillary's ascent (excited, much??!!).
As part of our itinerary we have three days scheduled in the villages of Musey and Chaurikharka. These villages were devastated by the Nepal Earthquakes of 2015 and are still recovering to this day.
In the small farming village of Chaurikharka, we will be helping to build new classrooms at Mahendra Jyoti School (thank goodness David is a builder and knows what he's doing!). In the neighbouring village of Musey we will be helping to build a new drinking water system, to pipe clean water to every home in the village, provide water to irrigate their crops and supply water to two much needed fire hydrants.
Your generosity in donating to our little fundraising page is so very much appreciated. Thank you for showing us your love and support. Our minimum fundraising requirement is $1200 between the two of us, however, we hope to raise as much as we can before April, 2018.
All money fundraised will be donated to Sir Ed's charity, The Himalayan Trust, who will know best how to use and distribute the money.
