A desperate father seeks urgent help for his daughter's life-saving care after severe diabetic sepsis left her overseas.
International
My name is GuruDayal. I am 75 years old, retired, and my only income is my pension. I am writing with deep humility to ask for support with the urgent medical bills for my daughter, Ashika Devi Dayal, aged 38.
Ashika developed severe diabetic foot sepsis in Fiji after a suture was left inside her wound, causing a serious infection. Since then, she has been taken to theatre three times. She was discharged with a 20 cm x 5 cm wound on her left foot, with exposed bone and tendon.
CWM Hospital discharged her home, but our family feared for her life. We arranged urgent care at MIOT Hospital, and she was meant to arrive there on 5 June. Sadly, while in transit at Hong Kong Airport, she developed serious medical complications and was rushed by ambulance to Princess Margaret Hospital.
She is now admitted in Hong Kong and undergoing extensive tests and treatment. We are grateful she is in safe hands, but the bills are overwhelming because she is an international patient.
The funds raised will help cover her hospital bills, tests, treatments, surgery, medication, wound care, travel and accommodation.
I am a 75-year old father asking for help I never imagined I would need.
Any support, no matter how small, will help give my daughter a chance to survive, heal and return home safely.
Thank you for your kindness, prayers, and support during this difficult time.
GuruDayal,
Father of Ashika Devi Dayal
