Harold & his magical travelling classroom are true Kiwi icons & they need your help. Donate to keep Harold on the road in the Far North.
Northland
If you or your children have attended school in Aotearoa during the last 30 years, then you probably have fond memories of Harold the Giraffe and his magical travelling classroom, but did you know that Life Education is a charitable trust?
Each year our trust, trustees and supporters work tirelessly to fundraise the $100,000 needed just to keep the mobile classroom on the road throughout the Far North. Last year alone, more than 6,000 children in the Far North took part in Life Education lessons learning ways to live a healthy life, the importance of respect and acceptance of others, plus understanding and embracing their own uniqueness. We love what we do and we know that our tamariki love their visits from Harold, but it's hard yakka raising enough funding.
This year we have to raise even more money and we're calling on our community to please help. Our classroom is too old and tired to be on the road so we are having to use a borrowed classroom. This sucks! To top it all off, due to the financial challenges of Covid-19 we are now the only region in NZ that hasn't been able to fundraise the $55K needed to install the fantastic new digital upgrades to really capture the imagination of our tamariki.
The good news is we have already raised $30K towards our $55K goal but we NEED YOUR HELP. Please help Harold spread the joy throughout the Far North by helping us to raise $25K. Every little bit helps and we appreciate all support, however small.
Life Education children learn from a young age that never before in time and never again in time will there be another person like them, they're special; that their brain and body are magnificent; what the body's needs are; and that we all need to give respect and support to each other.
Funds will be used to install the new digital upgrades
