Our Dance Leaders give so much. Let's help them get to events, deepen their training and experience our loving support for all they do.
Nationwide
This page is to foster, inspire and nurture the development and growth of DUP in New Zealand. To continue to evolve new and emergent Dance Leaders, there is a need for our Certified Dance Leaders to travel across New Zealand to lead dances, run events, mentor active Dance Leaders, support the creation of new Dance Circles, and invigorate existing regional Dance Circles.
Funding is needed as some leaders have limited financial means and may refrain from overseas training opportunities. This constrains their ability to contribute more of themselves for the betterment of the DUP community in New Zealand
Supporting our Dance Leaders in this way helps to grow the dances in this country, helping both the leaders and the dance community. If you feel called by this, please GiveALittle to help this happen.
This page has been set up by Nigel Pizzini, with the approval of the Advisory Council.
"As a Mentored Dance Leader I am hugely grateful for the significant amount of time, resources and energy Certified Dance Leaders give to DUP in Aotearoa, New Zealand and leading Dance Circles up and down the country.
I wish to convey our love and respect to these leaders, and nurture their ongoing development, freshness and inspiration by resourcing their ability to travel, share their richness, and attend inspiring and equipping Dance Deepening opportunities overseas".
DUPANZ will offer grants to Certified Dance Leaders to...
a) travel around the country to support Regional Dance Circles or foster dance leading skills development,
b) contribute to their own dance leader development through attending training/deepening retreats/events overseas.
Leader travels in 2018 25 July 2018
Prem, Amrita Bhakti, Wendy and Veronique attended dance deepening training, retreats and summer camps in USA this year, with Prem going on to Europe to the German and Latvian Dance Camp. We look forward to their return and sharing with us the inspiration and new dances they were inspired by.
Please consider making a donation of any amount to this fund, and share the link to your networks so more dance leaders can be supported to grow and contribute to the Dance.
