Earthbag School Rebuild Nepal 2017

Help FSH and Court Construction build an earthbag school in earthquake devastated rural Nepal.

International

In April 2015 First Steps Himalaya, in conjunction with Court Construction, finished building an earthbag style Training Centre in Sindhupalchok district, Nepal. This building was one of the few that withstood the 7.9 magnitude earthquake that devastated this district just weeks later. Over one year later, many children are still attending lessons in temporary learning centres and are yet to get back to the stability of being able to return to school. Court Construction are returning to Nepal in 2017 to rebuild one of the many schools destroyed in the Nepal earthquakes, which will allow many children to get back to school.

FIRST STEPS HIMALAYA's involvement (page creator)

We are passionate about getting earthbag building methods in use in rural Nepali schools as this is the one of the safest construction methods in earthquake prone zones.
