ECE Reform is a new non-profit, solutions-based organisation for quality for children in ECE, needing $12k for our organisational website.
Nationwide
ECE Reform is being established as a non-profit organisation to promote quality of life for children in ECE and care. We have seen more than enough through the news media to know that the sector is in serious strife because of poor standards, commercialisation, and consequent loss of teachers. I am New Zealand's lead specialist in ECE wellbeing, with a Masters and PhD in Public Health, and 28 years experience with the ECE sector. I can confirm that the situation is desperate.
ECE Reform is a politically neutral, solutions-based organisation, designed to bring well-considered, intelligent legislative and systems proposals to government to fix this situation. The website costs up to $12,000 to establish as the 'national office ECE Reform', (and that is a good deal for the functionality we need) but in a chicken-and-egg scenario, we need the website to bring regular funding into the organisation. The people setting up ECE Reform have given their time willingly, but we have limited financial resources. We have offers for 50% of our funding for the website, but urgently need the other $6,000 to get us over the line. The offered funds are coming from people who are already financially stretched, so if we could crowd-fund the whole $12,000 that would be wonderful.
ECE Reform can make a tremendous difference to the life of children and teachers in the ECE sector.
Coordinating the establishment of the ECE Reform organisation website so that the organisation can bring in members and be self-funding. Also putting up funds myself, but need assistance.
All funds raised are for the development of the ECE Reform organisational website. If there is any excess it will fund the work of this new non-profit organisation.
The website is open! 1 March 2021
Thank you all SO much for making the ECE Reform website possible. We open it today, and are starting to build the membership of an organisation that could transform the early education and care sector for good. To see the result of your donations please go to www.ecereform.org
