*UPDATE*
It is with great sadness that we have to announce that Eli passed away on Monday 28 October 2019 after a 4 month long battle with his horrible disease.
Due to the change of circumstances funds will now be used for a family holiday that had been in the planning while Eli was alive, to help pay the bills for those family members who have had to take unpaid leave while Eli was ill and to cover any costs related to his death.
Any unused funds will be donated to Rainbow Place Hospice Waikato, Ronald McDonald House Charities and Child Cancer Foundation NZ.
We thank you all for your generous donations and love over this tough time

In July 2019 Eli was diagnosed with a very aggressive brain tumour (diffuse midline glioma). It wasn’t the diagnosis that we were hoping for as it is currently considered a life limiting condition as most common cancer treatments have little to no effect.
He has completed a course of radiation in the hopes that it will improve his quality of life and hopefully slow down the growth of the tumour. He is now paralysed on his left side and relies on a wheelchair to get around.
Family
We would use the funds to help make life as enjoyable as possible for Eli and his younger siblings, along with financial assistance for when Eli's parents need to take unpaid leave to take him to hospital for regular treatment, including radiation.
