I am starting a givealittle page in order to help my sister Emma, to achieve her biggest goal in life to be able to travel to NZ.
Wellington
Emma was born with TSC, Tuberous Sclerosis Complex, which ultimately effects all major organs of her body in which tumours have grown throughout her life causing complex health conditions. Then unfortunately in her early 30's Emma was then diagnosed with yet another rare disease known as LAM. This lead to fatal lung failure, where in 2006 she received a life saving lung transplant. Over the last 11 years medication such as anti-rejections and her TSC has caused end stage renal failure. In 2015 our mother was put forward to be a live kidney donor for Emma but unfortunately the day the transplant was to take place, mum was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer. Our mum sadly passed away in November 2015, leaving Emma to sadly endure life saving dialysis treatment. Just as we thought her health conditions could not get any worse, Emma developed Lymphoma cancer in October 2016. Emma has now had to undergo treatment over the past few months and has lead to her having to be removed from any form of transplant list. Emma is an inspiration to everyone who has known her. She is such a positive young lady who has continued to remain optimistic and wishes for nothing more in life other than to spend quality time with her family here in New Zealand. She is one of many who deserves to achieve their goal.
So thank you for taking time to read our story.
I am Emma's sister, and believe she deserves to be able to spend time with her family here in New Zealand.
Funds will be used to assist cost of travel to New Zealand and dialyses treatment whilst visiting.
Thank you 12 June 2017
