Help me support two amazing organisations providing safe haven and opportunities to women and children at risk of trafficking and slavery.
International
As many of you may know, I have embarked on a journey around the world to discover how other individuals and organisations empower their communities to grow and thrive.
Putting my money where my mouth is, I will be running my first half marathon in support of Hagar in Cambodia, as well supporting the efforts of the Rescue Mission for Children in Thailand.
Who are these organisations?
Hagar's supports the whole journey of rescuing, recovery and rehabilitation of women and children subjected to slavery and trafficking with no end date. Their amazing support includes counselling, legal advice, accommodation and healthcare.
The Rescue Mission for Children cares for the Akha Hill tribe and other vulnerable hill tribe's children in order to provide social and economic advancement. This is achieved through a centre providing a safe haven of care, education, healthcare and nutrition. Most of this community consists of families fleeing across the boarder from Myanmar to avoid Opium dealers, trafficking and slavery dealers.
"Please note: Any donations made through this page will be collected by me and given to both the charities. This means that you will not receive a receipt or tax certificate at the end of the financial year either charity."
Volunteering through running a half marathon for Hagar
Volunteering my time at the Rescue Mission with the children and supporting renovations
Money raised will be equally split between these two great organisations doing their best to empower those in need. Money for the Rescue Mission for Children will go towards the development of facilities at the centre for these children.
