RISK Church has always hosted Extravagant Christmas (EC) on site at our Evans Street venue,

but for 2018 we are heading out to homes instead, bearing aroha, gifts & kai on 23/24 December.

Our hope is that our Stokes Valley community will help us to connect with people & families genuinely in need and even support this venture financially if possible. We want to bless as many as we can with good food and gifts, that they might enjoy a memorable Christmas in their own homes. Times are tough and often the budget just won't stretch to cover the rising costs of food, let alone gifts at a time we all want to be special.

Together we can make this happen.

If you can give a koha towards this community mission, it would be amazing. Some people have asked if they can contribute practically so we are also accepting brand new children's toys/books etc and new suitable gift items for adults. New Christmas treat food and supplies for hampers is also appreciated and all items can be dropped off to:

RISK Church, 23 Evans Street, Stokes Valley, Sundays 9.30am - 12.30pm, Thursdays 2.30pm-5.30pm (down side entrance), and various other times during the week. Check first 04 563 7936.

Amanda Minot's involvement

I'm on the committee heading up our annual community Extravagant Christmas charitable event. This is a ministry initiative of RISK Church, Stokes Valley, Lower Hutt. The bank account is theirs.

Use of funds

Money will go towards buying gifts for recipients, food & supplies for hampers, quality spot prizes such as technology, appliances. Money left over will go towards next year's Extravagant Christmas.
