Faith’s Leukemia Journey – Supporting Faith and her Whānau every step of the way

Faith’s Leukemia Journey
On March 5, 2025, Faith was diagnosed with B-cell lymphoblastic leukemia. She and her mum are currently staying at Starship Hospital, where Faith will undergo intense chemotherapy for the first month. During this critical period, her immune system will be highly vulnerable, and her progress will be closely monitored to assess how well the treatment is working. We remain hopeful for positive outcomes as she begins this challenging journey.
After the first month, we are optimistic that Faith and her mum will be able to return home. However, Faith will still require multiple weekly treatments in Tauranga, and monthly trips to Starship for continued treatment. Her journey will span approximately 2.5 years, with regular visits to ensure she receives the best possible care.
At just 2 years old, Faith is a bright, curious soul with a spirit far beyond her years. She loves the outdoors and water. Her vibrant personality lights up any room she enters, and she has a natural gift for connecting with others. Cancer may be part of Faith’s story right now, but we refuse to let it define her childhood. We want to fill her days with things that remind her that she’s still just a kid, full of wonder and joy.
We want to ensure that Faith’s whānau can be right there beside her, without financial stress
As a whānau, we are deeply grateful for any koha you can offer, whether that be a donation or simply sharing the link.
Ngā mihi nui for your Aroha, generosity, and support.
I'm Taylor -Faiths Aunty and sister to Saphyrra (Faiths mum).
The money will be spent on funds covering immediate whanau's loss of wages, travel costs, food, and accommodation.
Update on Faith 19 April 2025
Thank you so much to everyone for your kind thoughts, prayers, and support for Faith and I. I also want to say a heartfelt thank you to every single one of you who has given a koha towards Faith 💛
Just a little update—Faith has overcome so much in just the last month and a half since starting this new journey. She recently completed her first month of intensive chemotherapy and is now moving into phase two with oral chemo.
During the first month, Faith picked up a few bugs and viruses due to being immune compromised, which meant a short stay in PICU. But thankfully, we’re home now! We still have weekly trips to Starship ahead of us for lumbar punctures and ongoing chemotherapy.
Dspite all the setbacks and tough side effects of chemo, Faith has embraced her new normal with incredible strength, courage, and a spirit that inspires me every single day.
Thanks you, loves 💞💞
