Chimbowe a rural village in Malawi is in desperate need of food for the families most financially impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic.

Wellington

Malawi has been devastated by the impacts of Covid-19. A beautiful rural village called Chimbowe has families in great need of food while they are in lockdown during this pandemic. I am trying to raise funds to get basic foods delivered to these families that now have no source of income and no way of purchasing food for their families. I have made a plan to send money to a well trusted leader of the community to bulk buy sustainable food products to deliver himself to these families to cut down the risk of contracting the virus through others coming and going from their village. He will be providing video and photo proof to me weekly of these foods being delivered. I know times have been tough for all during this pandemic and and contribution would be greatly appreciated by myself and the community of Chimbowe.

Use of funds

The money will be spent on basic foods for families such as large kg bags of maize flour, beans, cooking oil, soya pieces and sugar which are the main foods eaten by families in Malawi and also the travel costs to provide delivery.
