Poem for Samantha

This is the poem I wrote for Samantha's funeral, I thought it should be shared with those who have so generously donated.

*November 4th is insignificant to many but to me it's the day I lost a part of me, part of my life gone forever.
Shattered is my heart which will never quite be whole again.
Such a beautiful, caring, soulful woman lost to the world forever.
Those that knew you best have lost someone so special you can never be replaced in our hearts and minds.
A beautiful innocent soul, nobody deserves what you endured, but nobody could do it with the strength of character you did.
Your light shone so bright even through your darkness. Your smile could light any room, your laughter a song I'll never hear again.
You were like a poem, touching my soul, warming my heart, but every poem has an end and now yours has, leaving my soul empty and my heart cold.
My tears flow away to nowhere, your gentle touch has gone forever.
You are finally at peace while our lives have been turned upside down.
My biggest fear has become truth and I feel more lost than ever. Don't know how I'll walk through this world without you.
Tried running till my feet bled to escape my grief but its with me night and day like a dark cloud hanging over me.
I tried to pick you up when you were at your lowest but I wasn't strong enough.
Your will to live was emense and inspiring, you fought so bravely with such strength and humility.
I wish I could take your place so you could have more time, more joy and less pain, learn to love your life the way we love you.
Goodbye my beautiful sister you will be with us in spirit forever.
