Fly Floyd Home

My heart broke when I learned that on the 27th August, one of the most beautiful people I know, and closest friends I’ve ever had, was fatally injured in a motorcycle accident in Germany. His name was Floyd. Floyd was doing a practise trip run with his Dad and two of his brothers before meeting his third brother and setting off for a motorcycle road trip of a lifetime!! Mum was at home in Nelson, and brother number three (Fynn) was eight hours away. Upon the receipt of the news Fynn immediately turned home to NZ to be with his Mum while the others had to see things through. Sadly, only Floyds ashes will be coming back to NZ.

The family are doing as you would expect, but found the courage to start a t-shirt campaign. They’ve created an amazing t-shirt that captivates Floyd, and it truly is in his honour. I love my t-shirt and a lot of us close friends and family want and need the t-shirt, so we have bought it. It's just here if you would like to check it out :)

When talking about the t-shirt campaign with others, I had a few requests just to be able to make a donation. And, when I realised how much the company are making relative to the family over the t-shirts - it got me thinking.

I wanted to create a page that would present the opportunity for everyone who wants to help to be able to. This is without the t- shirt, as requested by some, and with all of the proceeds going directly to the family.

It makes me sad that in bad times, our society makes things worse - the inability of the family to go to work costs money, the unexpected family trip home from Germany costs, and so does the travel to get Floyds ashes home to Nelson. Such a tragedy.

Let’s fly Floyd home to Nelson where he can be beautiful forever and help these guys get back on their feet. I just want us to be able to send extra help for them to recover from such an unpredictable and heart breaking occurrence ❤️
