For a friend, who runs a no-kill cat shelter charity, and needs help for one of her own
Auckland
I have known Danielle Dickie for nearly 11 years and have seen her tirelessly run Gutter Kitties, to the best of her ability, to help street cats have a better life (the cats in the shelter, a.k.a. the Paw Pad, certainly live the life of Riley because of her!)
She is constantly trying to raise money for these cats, as there is no 'street cat medical insurance'!
She is now needing some help for one of her own- Dale, who was rescued as an orphan at 3 days old.
On Saturday afternoon, Dale was found straining and crying in distress and was rushed to an after hours vet, where he was found to have a blocked bladder. He couldn't urinate and his bladder had filled almost to busting. He had an anaesthetic to unblock his bladder, and will need to be hospitalised for at least 48hrs.
His costs for the after hours vets up to Monday morning are $2,900. He will be transferred to Danielle's normal vets on Monday morning, where the estimated cost of ongoing treatment is estimated to be $1,000 if everything goes as planned.
It would be most appreciated if you could help towards these costs, as it would be amazing to be able to give back to someone who has given so much, but needs help to pay these unexpected costs.
