Help us launch Whanganui's locally owned and operated online magazine.
Manawatu / Whanganui
The Four Five Hundred launched earlier this month as an online magazine for Whanganui.
We launched without any funding in the hope that in backing Whanganui, the community will back us.
This is hopefully just the start. The goal is for it to be self-sustainable, quality and free resource for Whanganui.
But we need your help to get it going. Think of it as a voluntary subscription.
And if you choose to, you'll have your name on the site as a foundation supporter and our eternal gratitude.
The internet has made journalism largely free to consume but the cost to produce hasn't gone away - someone always pays.
If you can and want to contribute to this kind of thing in the community - please donate.

Amanda Palmer, who kind of pioneered the crowd-funding of music, giving her music away in exchange for donations from fans, said: the question is not how do we make people pay for music, but how do we let them?
The same now applies to journalism.
Thanks for reading and please share.
I run and edit The Four Five Hundred.
