The development of a modern Sports and Community Hub that will promote greater participation and economic activity in the Hutt Valley.

Wellington

Fraser Park is Wellington region’s largest recreational sports ground, and is of regional and national importance to many established and recognised sporting codes.

The project to re-vitalise Fraser Park is a joint initiative between the Community Facilities Trust (CFT), Fraser Park Sportsville and Hutt City Council.

The development will create a unique sports village ensuring the interests and resources of sporting codes.

Hutt City Council has a vision for the city’s community, sporting and recreation facilities, and is the major funder for this project, while the Community Facilities Trust is tasked with raising funds for, and construction of the new facilities.

Fraser Park Sportsville will be an amazing new addition to the region’s sporting scene offering highly valued sporting venues and facilities to a significant range of sports codes. It is estimated that approximately 1,000,000 people will visit Fraser Park Sportsville annually.

Fraser Park Sportsville will be a catalyst for sports clubs, encouraging sports clubs to work together, share quality resources, offer new programmes, increase membership and participation from the wider community. This aspirational sporting model encourages clubs to collaborate, co-operate and succeed, critical to their overall success and future wellbeing.
