Raise awareness to protect Assange and protect Press Freedom and Whistle blower protection
Wellington
Free Assange NZ could do with a little bit of help with ongoing costs towards materials and promotion for events and any other ongoing expenses for its continuing work to Free Assange, protect press-freedoms and whistle-blowers and ensure this persecution of Assange does not set a precedent for all time.
We need to fundraise to keep the pressure up and purchase activist needs... printing promo props (candles!) and maintaining event listings.... Help us please... !
Candles4Assange is a global activist collective of free press and antiwar supporters undertaking synchronised global actions
A kiwi-instigated global movement where Wellington invited the world to hold Assange birthday candle vigils on July 3 and within 2 weeks 60 cities /towns in 6 contnents came on board.
a NON-partisan supporter networking service taking action to:
Stop the War on Journalism:
Protect the whistleblowers | Prosecute the war criminals...
We list global protests, link like-minded supporters in their local area to combine forces on campaigns & hold global synchronised peaceful vigils, rallies & reactionary art/music to light up the world to the importance or Press Freedom.
Legacy media today deliver a one-sided narrative.
This is the antidote!
My name is Amanda Vickers and I am one of the organisers of Free Assange NZ events. We run regular rallies promote awareness about the injustice facing Assange and what it means for press freedoms and whistle-blower protections. We do not have a "Free Assange NZ" bank account which is why this is going under my name. Funds will be used for materials, promotional and other costs associated with furthering awareness about Assange's predicament and the outcome if his persecution is allowed to continue.
Materials and promotion of events and other costs associated with our work - (funds do not go directly towards Assange's court costs)
