Please help fund us to represent New Zealand for ToM Internationals in Darwin, Australia

We're Wellington intermediate school students fundraising to go to Tournament of Minds Internationals (TOM) to be held in Darwin in Australia (11th - 14th October), representing New Zealand and competing with teams from Australia, Hong Kong and several other countries on the world stage. We are the winning team which has won the "Language and Literature" discipline at TOM Wellington Regionals on 2nd Sept, and subsequently as the Honors team of TOM NZ Nationals on 16th Sept, we are now representing New Zealand at ToM Internationals.

Tournament of Minds offers teams of students the opportunity to solve authentic, open-ended challenges that foster creative, divergent thinking whilst developing collaborative enterprise, excellence and teamwork. For more info about TOM, please go to https://www.tom.edu.au/

All members in our team have been participating in the gifted learning program in our school where we take on more rigorous and challenging syllabus meant for Years 10 and 11. My team members and we are very focused and motivated on winning this TOM Internationals for New Zealand!

We've always dreamt of representing New Zealand on the world stage and this is our chance to put New Zealand’s education system on the world map and a golden opportunity for us to make it a memorable success! The costs include accommodation, meals, return flights from Wellington to Darwin (transiting Melbourne), airport transfers, travel insurance and cost. We do not have sufficient time to organize a school fundraising event given the very short notice and we’re coming to the end of this school term. Besides, we should be focusing on our preparations for our international competition.
