Fundraising for Discipleship Training School

I am Michelle, an 18 year old who has lived a Christian life since birth. After immigrating from South Africa to New Zealand, I have had my ups and downs with God. I went through a couple years incredibly distant from God and experiencing a family member near death two times in the last year, I witnessed the Lord's protection and love at its most powerful in my and my families life. This year I rejoined my Church worship team on Sundays. Out of nowhere God ignited a fire in my heart, and the desires of a "normal daily life" of work and study are completely out of the picture now. God is calling me to spread who He is with the rest of this country, so that others may experience His mercy and love, just as I have.

A few weeks ago, I had the privilege to meet a group of DTS students. They walked the South Island, praying for people and sharing their testimonies. Once I heard how God had worked in their lives, my curiosity for Youth With A Mission sparked. Since meeting them, I have felt drawn to do a DTS, that I have the desire to drop everything and go join in this incredible opportunity to live for God and make Him known.

I have applied and in a month I will be going up to Nelson to do a 5 month DTS. This will consist of a 12 week lecture phase, including topics such as; worship, praying, hearing from God, and the father-heart of God, etc. This will be followed by an 8 week out reach phase across New Zealand. The outreach will consist of going on adventures to bring the Gospel to the nation.
