Help us raise money for Christine so she can continue to help the dogs of Hawkes Bay
Christine Batista works with various organisations throughout Hawkes Bay to rescue, treat, care for and rehome dogs in Hawkes Bay. Recently her vet account ran out and she shared this message:
"My Vet account is empty and to be able to continue to rescue Pound Dogs I'm needing help. All the other costs for registration, microchipping, dog food, equipment and other costs are paid by the adoption fees and myself so that our dogs are ready and healthy for their new homes.
I am very passionate about helping as many animals as I can from the pound but due to so many dogs needing homes and the amount of money the cost is getting increasingly difficult to keep up with such a high demand.
Right now in my care I have quite a few dogs including ones at foster homes that I pay for, and tomorrow will get the pics and list of what dogs are suitable for rehoming and need rescue.
I know times are tough for people out there at the moment, sadly the Rescues don't stop, if anything they get worse. I don't like asking for help but when it comes to my rescues I have to put that behind me and say "I need help" the biggest cost the rescue incurs is vet bills. I don't want to ask people for huge amounts but every dollar makes a difference. I don't want to put financial strain on anyone so any kind of help I would be extremely grateful for."
Christine helped me rescue and find my beloved dog Penny.
The money will be spend on vet bills for treating, desexing, microchipping the dogs.
