Garden of Tāne carving
Bring Tāne back to the Forest. Please donate to create this magnificent, four metre high tōtara carving, for Akaroa's Garden of Tāne.

The local Garden of Tane Reserve Management committee has been working for ten years to improve the visitor experience in this special reserve.
The committee is now fundraising to bring Tāne, God of the Forest, into the garden. Simon Rogers, a well-known local carver, has been commissioned to create a magnificent four metre high tōtara sculpture.
The Garden of Tāne is a place of peace and shade, birdsong and mystery, in the heart of Akaroa. Please help us raise $25,000 to make this wonderful project happen and build your life-long connection with the beautiful Garden of Tāne.

We are pleased to support the Garden of Tane Reserve Management Committee through fundraising for their carving of Tāne.
Use of funds
To commission carver Simon Rogers to create the carving of Tāne. Fundraising for this project will cease when the full amount has been raised.
