We have been nominated to attend Aspiring Leaders Forum on faith and values later this month, and are seeking sponsorship to help cover the cost of attending.
The Aspiring Leaders Forum is an annual event that brings together a diverse group of committed and courageous young leaders from across New Zealand. Guided by facilitators and esteemed national leaders/politicians, selected young people will discuss leadership from a narrative point of view.
Attending ALF, will be a great tool for us both as individuals and as a couple, to use in furthering our leadership here at Christian Youth Camps, UNASHAMED, and befitting the community by influencing and inspiring young people to discover their talents and passions and using them to make the world better.
Good leadership requires more than an impressive resume and a strong personality; there must be something in you that can justify the loyalty and commitment of those who follow. The philosophy of Aspiring Leaders’ Forum on faith and values is that serving others is the best foundation for meaningful lives, healthy communities and leadership. The Forum aims to explore the personal character foundations of integrity, humility, commitment, courage and aroha – all of which enable us to live for something greater than self-interest.
Our goals for ALF are:
• To challenged and inspired to think proactively about leadership.
• To be encouraged to examine the faith and values that inform our approach to leadership.
• To see an increase in active community service across New Zealand.
• To establish relationships with New Zealand’s current leaders.
• To become better equipped as a leader.
