GIRL POWA - an empowering programme, getting teenage girls out and enjoying outdoor pursuits in an all-female, supportive environment

Our award-winning Girl POWA Outdoor Adventure Programme was created to reduce barriers for female rangatahi to access outdoor recreation. Aimed at inspiring teen females to "Give adventure a go", GIRL POWA offers a '2 for 1' ticket, so that an adult female can come along to support and role model. We take girls caving, kayaking and on multi activity adventure days.
The all-female environment creates a safe space, where teens are fully supported. The personal achievement and growth in confidence as the girls take on the challenges is truly inspirational!
Cost is a huge barrier for participating. We want to make sure all teen girls get the opportunity to benefit from the physical, mental and social advantages that being in the great outdoors brings - regardless of her ability to pay.
Funding is very limited. There is a significant cost involved on running outdoor pursuits -the use of fully-qualifies, experienced instructors, quality equipment meeting all our health and safety commitments.
From as little as $25 you can support a female teen to attend a GIRL POWA activity. The experience can be life changing.
$25 will cover the cost of a youth to attend 1 activity
$50 will cover the cost for an adult and youth to attend 1 activity
$100 will cover the cost for an adult and youth to attend a full activity day.
Any money raised will ensure the continuance of this amazing programme - you are supporting a young woman to try a new adventure.
