November 2018 my sister was diagnosed with cervical cancer. Being only 38 years old the diagnosis was a shock for the whole family. She went for surgery and treatment and all looked good afterwards. We as a family thought all the prayers to God for healing came through.
In April 2019 she felt unwell and was admitted to hospital. They found her lymph nodes was causing obstructions on her kidneys and went for a procedure to place stents for relieve.
At the same time they did a lymph node biopsy. The cancer was back with a vengeance at stage 3. With the complicated location surgery was no option and she started again with radiation combined with chemotherapy. With the area of radiation it's affecting her other organs and causing severe pain and other complications.
It's been seven years since we last seen her and would be the greatest gift in life for my family if we can support her through this very difficult time.
2018 was a very tough year for all of us. My dad had heart complications and went for stents. Then I was diagnosed with inflammatory bowel disease. Right after that I ended up in hospital again with a embolism. This took me away from work for three months. After my recovery my sister was diagnosed with the cervical cancer. Then ending 2018 my mom was diagnosed with breast cancer.
Being away from work for three months left us in a really bad financial situation.
With a strong believe we are praying that treatment will heal her and not be taken from us.
We as a family would really appreciate if we can raise some funds to visit her in South Africa. This will give my two daughters, my wife, and myself the chance to say our goodbyes to my much loved sister and the best ever aunt to my kids.
