Pat Foote is an outstanding guy. He’s battling an aggressive and advanced form of cancer and he, Di and the kids need our support.
Auckland
Paddy is a truly great guy. He’s loyal, genuine, funny and kind, yet very humble. He is an outstanding husband, father, friend and colleague, loved and admired by many.
Life changed for Pat, his wife Di and kids Ben, Isla, Sam and Joe at the beginning of this year, when he received the devastating news that he was suffering from an advanced and aggressive form of cancer.
Paddy’s fighting this hideous disease with everything he has, as well as managing to work when he’s well enough. However, the cost of treatment is significant as the chemo is not government funded and he’s no longer able to work at the same pace as before- some weeks not at all.
Caring colleagues, friends and family have already shown their love and support in so many ways, from practical help around the house and garden, to delivering meals and travelling from far and wide to visit with him.
It has also been suggested that we start a Givealittle page as a way of providing some financial support towards Pat’s treatment, with any surplus funds, to help the family in practical ways. He’s a proud man who always puts everyone else first, so this kind of thing really goes against the grain. However he’s in such a tough situation I’ve convinced Di and Pat to let me set this page up.
We are truly grateful for everyone’s support and Pat’s fight is bolstered by each and every one of you who have shown your love in so many ways. Thank you for standing by him, Di and the kids.
I’m Paddy’s Sister in Law. He’s a truly great guy but intensely proud so this kind of thing really goes against the grain. There’s no doubt he’s in a tough situation so I was keen to see if together we can help him, Di and the kids at this incredibly difficult time.
Please help provide financial support towards Pat’s unfunded chemo, with any surplus funds being used to help the family in practical ways.
Thank you so much for your support it is amazing xx
many thanks for your support
