Wellington
Our mum had a sudden subarachnoid hemorrage which is a ruptured brain aneurysm.
This happened at her work and due to the quick actions of work colleagues care and an ambulance arrived quickly.
She was at Whanganui hospital where she had a CT scan and realised it was the brain bleed.
She was quickly flown to Wellington hospital and received an operation the next morning, which although difficult went well.
She is recovering well but these next couple of weeks are critical.
Our mumma is amazing she is incredibly strong brave human. Although it is terribly frightening and a long journey a head she is still here with us.
Love you mumma xxx 💕🥰
Hi im Josh Larking Lorraine's eldest son. I am setting this up for Mum and family whilst she is in hospital post her Brain surgery.
We werent sure whether we would set up this page but as people were asking what they could do to help we set it up.
This will be used to help with costs like dad staying in wellington to visit eg. hospital parking, fuel and any other needs for Mum later on
Finally made a purchase 5 January 2020
Ya we have finally made a purchase with the help of your donations.
Mum here is seen playing with her new tablet this has an app called Category Therapy which will help with her Global Aphasia. This is a tool which her therapist uses and we waited to see how she goes with it first.
As she went really well with it we decided to get her a tablet and the app.
The app is not what she is currently using but still something which would aid in her recovery
