Share the Love NZ!!

Auckland

Share the ❤️ is a campaign to help those severely affected by the coronavirus crisis. A small team of experts in the UK working from their bedrooms have given their time for free to create the world’s biggest fundraising response to the pandemic. Around the world, some of our most vital and best-loved charities have joined forces in a spectacular show of collective kindness.

I’m in! What do I do?

The coronavirus crisis has hit many people particularly hard. Whether they’re disabled, homeless or victims of abuse. Whether they’re young, old, or have mental or physical health conditions. However they’re socially or economically disadvantaged, this global pandemic has created extraordinary challenges for a whole range of people all over the world.

Share the ❤️ is about coming together in a global show of collective kindness.

So come on! Spread a little happiness and #nowsharethelove

Barnardos NZ https://givealittle.co.nz/org/barnardos

Barnardos shapes brighter futures together with children and families in Aotearoa. We work with them to build nurturing relationships and resilient homes and communities, so that children reach their full potential. We're there for the whole childhood journey, and beyond. The challenges facing children and families in New Zealand right now couldn’t be greater. Abuse, family violence, inequality, poverty, poor mental health… the list goes on. By supporting Barnardos, you’re enabling real and sustainable positive change in the lives of children and young people

cbm New Zealand https://givealittle.co.nz/org/cbm

cbm is an international Christian development organisation, committed to improving the quality of life of persons with disabilities in the poorest countries of the world.

The Loft https://givealittle.co.nz/org/ki-te-tihi-the-loft-charitable-trust

The Loft is a unique partnership of community, social and health agencies formed to improve the wellbeing of tamariki, young people (rangatahi), whānau and communities. It removes the structural barriers to services and supports that maintain social inequalities.

The Loft operates a social emergency response service (SERS). SERS puts people at the centre and does not ask people seeking assistance to describe their needs (‘self-diagnose’). Instead, it supports people to tell their stories. This approach enables clients to uncover the relationship between their experiences and needs (e.g. mental health, domestic violence, finance, housing) and so begin to develop sustainable, rather than reactive plans.

The Loft operates at the heart of Christchurch’s eastern community and people can access immediate support, with no appointment necessary.

Shine NZ https://givealittle.co.nz/cause/shine-services-continue-during-lockdown

Shine is a specialist domestic abuse charity, providing a range of services working with the both victims and perpetrators of domestic violence. Frontline staff work closely with victims and their children who escape domestic violence to ensure they remain safe and can heal. Our No Excuses programmes challenges the violent behaviour of perpetrators and gives them tools to make positive changes to their behaviour

Music Helps https://givealittle.co.nz/cause/covid-19-support-for-kiwi-music-people

The Coronavirus COVID-19 is having a devastating effect on the music industry and kiwi music people.

Tours have been cancelled, international showcases years in the planning called off, with virtually no notice. Funds raised will be used to provide emergency financial assistance packages and professional counselling to kiwi music people.

Use of funds

To be disbursed equally between 10 Charities, and administered by Givealittle.
