The Angels of Hamilton Gardens are raising money for the Friends of Hamilton Gardens to help fund a new sculpture in the Surrealist garden.

The Hamilton Gardens are a national attraction in NZ. However, they are only partially funded by the Hamilton City Council. The Friends of Hamilton Gardens, a registered charity, raises money through subscriptions, donations and events plus hundreds of hours of work from community volunteers to enable many features to be added to the gardens which have been transformed from a former rubbish dump into an internationally regarded garden. This is where the Angels of Hamilton Gardens comes in. We are helping the Friends of Hamilton Gardens reach their goal of building five new gardens in four years.

Use of funds

Lack of funding meant that some features could not be included in the first plan for the Surrealist Garden. The Angels of Hamilton Gardens want to help by raising $3000 to go towards a new sculpture in the Surrealist Garden. There are three sculptures that the money we raise can go towards. There is a tap, a wheelbarrow and a Spade that will appear five times their original size.
