Hannah's journey to the UCI 2018 Para-cycling Track World Championships in Rio de Janeiro.
Southland
Hannah was born with congenital glaucoma, and lost her vision at the age of 25. Hannah's disability has not deterred her by no means. She has ran in a number of Marathons including New York, Mototapu and Queenstown. She has also competed in a number of triathlons and is always pushing herself to the limit. Hannah decided she would try Para-cycling in 2017 to see where this pathway could lead. As a result she qualified for the UCI 2018 Para-cycling Track World Championships in Rio de Janeiro between March 19th and 25th. The bests para-cyclists from around the world will compete and this is the first event to mark points for the ranking that will select the Tokyo Paralympic Games athletes. Hannah is truly inspirational, very humble and supports athletes in Southland who have other disabilities and are wishing to achieve their goals. The funds raised will help Hannah and her pilot Nina Wollaston with travel, accommodation, shipping of the bike and other costs incurred.
Hannah is a true inspiration and has supported my step-son Jack Lovett-Hurst on his journey. It is time for us to help Hannah to achieve her goal my raising funds for her journey to the UCI 2018 Para-cycling Track World Championships in Rio de Janeiro.
The goal is to raise $10,000.00 which will help Hannah and her pilot Nina Wollaston with travel, accommodation, shipping of the bike and other costs incurred.
