Making family memories.

Al, Heidi and the girls received the devastating news that after a 15 year battle with cancer there is nothing more medically that can be done for Al, so with 3 to 6 months left, time is short for the family to make some lasting memories.

Al and Heidi meet and fell in love as students and married at the tender age of 20. Not long after their marriage, Al was diagnosed with a brain tumor. After surgery and treatment Al went in remission and they had two beautiful daughters Maxine and Aria. His remission lasted 10 years when it returned again for the second time. Four years later only days before they renewed their vows in November it had returned once again.

As Al was diagnosed at such a young age he was unable to get any insurance so when his tumor returned years later and he had to undergo more surgery and treatment, their savings soon evaporated.

We are asking the good New Zealand public to help this family have some time together, the funds raised will be used for weekend fun for the family while Al's health is good and when the time comes the funds will be used to ease the financial burden on Heidi and give her a bit of time with their girls before she returns to work.
