I want to raise enough funds to fly Terry back to New Zealand to spend time with his mum before she passes.
Northland
Terry is like a brother to me. Our families met and bonded about 30 years ago as both Terry and myself had cancer when we were kids. After my dad passed away in 2000, Terry’s family took my mum in to live with them for a long time until she got on her feet again.
A few weeks ago, Terry’s mum Kay who lives in Whangarei was diagnosed with terminal cancer. It’s aggressive and she has only been given a few months to live.
My own mum has been going up to Whangarei every weekend since the diagnosis to be with her.
Terry lives in Australia. Due to finances and the affects of Covid 19, Terry cannot afford to fly home right now to spend time with his mum before she passes. This breaks my heart, and his heart...I want Terry to be able to say goodbye to his mum in person.
Please help me to get him home ❤️
Terry is like a brother to me. He is also the Godfather to both of my children. Our families have always been very close - we consider both our families as one big family together.
To pay for Terry’s return airfare. Any surplus will be used on a big family dinner/get together to celebrate Kay and Terry being together again. If we don’t raise enough, funds will go towards airfare and we will fundraise an alternative way for the rest.
Thankyou Anne! ❤️
