Please help us to fund treatments to beat cancer a second time.
Canterbury
Aaron was diagnosed with terminal cancer two years ago. A rare and aggressive cancer (double hit follicular lymphoma, stage 4) with a median survival rate of 6 to 18 months with treatment. Needless to say, we were all completely devastated. Evie was just 11 months at the time and we had just bought our first home. Incredibly, through a combination of natural and conventional treatments, 5 months later he was in complete remission!
Unfortunately, 8 months later the cancer relapsed in August of last year. He resumed doing the treatments which had worked for him the first time around. These include twice weekly intravenous vitamin C, supplementation, and a host of other unfunded treatments which cost us around $1000 a week. He has also done two rounds of palliative radiation on tumours in the neck which have bought him time. Prior to the radiation, the neck tumour encased the main right artery and the tonsil tumour occupied 3/4 of his throat space. Fortunately they seem to be retreating. My work is flexible with taking time off to care for him in his recovery, although this also comes with a financial burden.
We are incredibly fortunate that Aaron is such a fighter and it’s the best thing ever waking up to him every morning and watching him and Evie play together. It is such a miracle we still have him and we are seeking help to find hope through alternative treatments abroad and to spend quality family time together.
If you would like to follow his journey he has started a blog to document his trials and tribulations, nutrition and treatments.
