Help Andrea and her boys

My sister Andrea is an amazing, resilient woman, who has dedicated the past 22 years to raising her 3 awesome sons. To do this, Andrea held down two jobs for years to support her family but has been in severe financial hardship in 2020, notably in the past four months with a serious case of carpal tunnel in her right hand and has been unable to work. She recently had surgery on her right hand but the carpal tunnel is now in her left hand so she needs surgery for this hand also. This means she is unable to work for up to 3 months while she has her second surgery and the recovery time.

On New Years Eve, Andrea was dealt yet another blow and given a 90 day notice to terminate her current tenancy, so unless she gets financial assistance, her and her boys potentially could end up homeless.

Our family have financially helped Andrea which has had her manage to just scrape by, but this latest news of a second surgery and tenancy termination has made us realise that this has got bigger than we alone can do, so calling out to our family and friends for added assistance.

My hope is that we can raise enough to cover Andrea’s weekly shortfall of $600 for the next 12 weeks (approx. $7,200) to relieve the financial pressure while she recovers from her surgeries so she can return to work promptly, and also find new accommodation for her and her boys.
