Fundraising to attend a 5-week summer programme at Berklee School of Music

Hi, my name is Finn Hughes, I am a year 12 student at Mount Maunganui College, and I have recently been accepted to attend the Berklee 5-week Aspire Summer Programme in Boston, Massachusetts. Berklee school of music is a world-renown university famous for its exceptional faculty and the legendary musicians who have studied there.

I am raising money to pay for my tuition and accommodation. I have currently saved up enough money to pay for my flights by working weekends and teaching drums out of my home and I have also received funding and support from the Tauranga Jazz Society.

Attending one of the most prestigious music schools in the world is an opportunity like no other, and I would really, really, appreciate your support. Whether it is a large donation or a small donation, every dollar helps.

Thank you so much for your very generous support for my trip to the Berklee 5-week summer programme. It was an absolutely incredible experience. I got to meet and play with phenomenal musicians from around the world, and my playing got a million times better.

I had tuition from world-class musicians and educators, I studied with some of the best up-and-coming musicians of this decade, and I even got to audition for the Berklee undergraduate programme that starts in 2023 (I'm still waiting on the results 🤞)

This experience was a huge step forward in my musical career and opened up doors to possibilities I hadn't thought of before. However, all of these opportunities would not have happened without your help, and I am incredibly grateful.

Hopefully, I'll be back there next year.
