Help for a family in dire need

My name is Sujit Thomas. I work in the government service and have set up this Givealittle page for Jovi Joseph and his family who are very close to me.

Jovi arrived in New Zealand 2 years ago on a work to residence visa and was working in New Zealand in a local company as a Truck Driver. Kavitha, his wife, and their 2 children joined him a year ago. Their children are studying in a school in Auckland and Kavitha, whilst an overseas qualified teacher with NZ Teaching registration, has struggled to find employment in either primary or secondary schools and has only been able to secure casual employment as an Early Childhood teacher in New Zealand, because of her visa status.

In Aug 2019, Jovi was diagnosed with Stage 4 terminal cancer and was given a few months to live. His condition since has quickly deteriorated. Jovi is now at a hospice in Auckland where he is in palliative care and the doctors at the hospice have informed the family that Jovi’ condition is extremely serious. Kavitha and the children are at Jovi’s bedside.

This family needs support on many fronts. The immediate expenses alone would amount to approximately $10000.

This family needs urgent financial assistance to help them tide over this extremely heart-rending circumstance. We are hoping to raise $50,000 for the family to secure them financially.
