Help for Indian community affected by COVID

In December 2019 we went to India for a family holiday organised by Intrepid Travel; we had the most amazing immersive experience that impacted on all our lives and will stay with us for ever. Key to the incredible trip was our guide Javed, he made everything happen, guiding and steering us in the right direction and always introducing us to the locals. He helped us to gain an understanding of India that we all feel so privileged to have experienced. We've kept in touch with Javed and he's been telling us about the situation in Udaipur, his home city, as a result of the COVID outbreaks. In a recent message he said: "Things are worse than you think. People are sick, can't get to hospital and when they do they are all full. People are suffering from hunger as well as oxygen shortage and it's making it harder to save people". Javed is now heading up an effort to help support his community. Again, in his words: "We are providing groceries for families, making parcels of lentils, rice, sugar, flower, cooking oil, potatoes and a little cash to buy milk". Each pack costs approximately $40 (NZ$). At the same time they are also packing food to give to the street kids and families. On behalf of Javed and his local community, we're posting this try and raise funds. As Javed said, "Anything you're able to contribute will help us to help more people".
